A shocking video was released Tuesday night in Los Angeles showing a fan storming onto the stage and slapping the famous singer Ava Max in the face.

The man managed to get on stage halfway through her performance and got close enough to actually make contact. The singer was dancing and singing in front of a crowd when a man approached the singer, prompting security personnel to respond. A member of Ava Max’s team grabbed the fan, but he slapped the star in the face before he managed to drag him out.

The video shows it took mere seconds to get him on stage, followed by a lightning-fast slap. Blinking fans may have missed it, but Max did indeed feel the slap and reported later that he had a scratch on his eye as a result of the altercation, according to reports. TMZ.

According to TMZ, the man was escorted out of the building by security but was not arrested.

He reportedly said he didn’t mean to hurt or harm Max, but just wanted to be able to “hold her.”

The extent of Max’s eye injury was not disclosed.
