Voting for Prescott’s primary election begins today

Prescott — Prescott primary election voting began Wednesday. The city’s current mayor, Phil Goode, has been elected for the first time in 2021 and is running without a vote. Voters will also fill two seats on the city council.

Running for a two-year term are current City Councilman Connie Cantelum and local businessman Tony Hammer. The four-year battle for the seat is between current City Councilman Kathy Lusing, businessman Chadwick DeVries, former county chairman of the Yavapai County Republican Commission Lois Flewerth, and Prescott Planning and Zoning Commissioner Ted It is contested among four candidates for Mr. Gambogi.

Voting begins Wednesday and runs through Election Day on Thursday, August 1. Registered voters can cast their ballots in person at the Yavapai County Registrar’s Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and until 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Mail ballots are also sent to residents and may be mailed or returned at the Yavapai County Administration Building at 1015 Fair Street, Prescott, or at Prescott City Hall at 201 N. Montezuma Street.
