Visit Yuma launches “Hello. I’m Yuma.” campaign

Yuma, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – Visit Yuma recently launched a campaign called “Hello. I’m Yuma.” To reintroduce Yuma and draw more tourists into our community.

This campaign was created by the Visit Yuma team who received a $500,000 grant to use for marketing.

The campaign includes a series of photos and videos used to promote tourism in the region.

A company traveled from Washington to Yuma to capture photos and videos of Yuma locals doing various activities in the area.

The poem below was written for the video and read aloud within the video.

Hello, this is Yuma.

Gateway to the southwest.
The sunniest place on earth.
Many names have been given to me, but I am more than what they call me.
I am the great Rio Colorado.
I am the unforgiving Sonoran Desert.
I’m the adrenaline that makes you feel alive.
I am a revolution in adventure…and the art of ‘no limits’.
Soybeans are a safe invitation.
I remind you to dig deep.
You can start anywhere.
to be curious.
to collect moments.
to find your edge.
I am a stomping ground for storytellers and truth-benders.
A risk taker and a meaning maker.
I am home to desert dwellers, adventure seekers and quality time managers.
I thrive in lush greenery and warm winters.
I am infinite
I am not domesticated.
I am bigger than life.

i’m yuma. ”
