Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer on Monday criticized Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’ Florida character, saying he had failed to correct his attitude, which many people thought was “difficult.”
The DeSantis campaign laid off about a dozen staff to cut costs, despite raising more than $20 million since launching the campaign on May 24. according to to NBC New York. DeSantis currently leads former President Donald Trump by 34.1%. according to Compared to the Real Clear Politics poll average. “I think Tim Scott will be that player. “He’s happy. He loves what he does. He inspires us about the United States,” Fleischer told Fox News host Martha McCallum. “He’s a pleasant leader, in contrast to Ron DeSantis. Ron DeSantis strikes me as brooding. I think that’s his nature, his character.”

Scott averages 3% of the vote, according to the Real Clear Politics average.In a poll by Morning consultation and I&I/TIPPBusinessman Vivek Ramaswamy has more than twice as much support as Scott, while DeSantis trails below 20% in both polls.
DeSantis rose to national prominence in several culture war battles in 2022, defeating former Democratic Rep. Charlie Christo by 17% on Nov. 8. Part of a Republican sweeping victory in Florida, it brightened a night when the party underperformed expectations across the country.
Florida’s governor and Disney have clashed since signing a custody bill in March 2022 over the company’s objections. DeSantis also approved a bill to end Disney’s control of the Reedy Creek Improvement, but Disney reportedly tried to undermine it with a last-minute agreement, which the company announced in April. This led to a lawsuit against DeSantis.
