‘I’m Asking You’: Vivek Ramaswamy Spars With Fox Host Over Trump Indictment

Republican presidential nominee Vivek Ramaswamy on Tuesday sparred with Fox News’ Neil Kabuto over a possible third indictment of Trump.

Former President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that he received a letter from Special Counsel Jack Smith on Sunday. President Trump said he was the subject of a grand jury investigation on Jan. 6 and had a very short four-day window to report to the grand jury, which almost always means arrest and indictment. ‘ said.

Mr Ramaswamy said the possibility of prosecution “would be a catastrophe”, claiming it was politically motivated. Kabuto then picked up comments Ramaswamy made after the Jan. 6 riots, condemning the conduct and personally denouncing Trump.

“I wonder what changed?”

“Nothing has really changed, Neil.” indicates that I would have decided differently. Please bear in mind that I am running–“

Kabuto interjected, “At the time, you said that Mr. Trump’s actions were wrong.”

“Absolutely. I believe that this country’s dangerous abuse of power has turned every bad decision, every wrong action, and wrong decision criminal when it is politically expedient. I respectfully disagree with your opinion, Neil.”

“This is more than just bad judgment. Even the prosecutor pursuing this case, if it is correct to say that he incited the crowds to act like them, is the country’s leader, As Commander-in-Chief, will he be responsible for that?”

“Based on the facts we have, I don’t think he should be held criminally responsible. Year of censorship, systemic censorship, telling people not to talk about the coronavirus lockdown, telling people not to talk about Hunter Biden’s laptop on the eve of the presidential election I think that was the election, and I think that’s a big part of the pent-up frustration that showed up on January 6th—”

Mr Ramaswamy went on to argue that the public was unhappy with the “systematic suppression of information” that had sparked the riots.

“I don’t think it’s a crime on the part of the president, but should I be disqualified from running away from him again?” Kabuto asked.

“I think it should be an issue for voters to consider when making decisions.”

“Please,” Kabuto urged.

“I’m making my point to the people, Neil. I don’t think that should legally disqualify him. That’s how it’s done in the United States. I think it should influence the decisions voters make at the polls. It is the people of this country who decide who will lead them through the democratic process in our constitutional republic,” Ramaswamy said. . “So what should voters consider when deciding? Absolutely. I want to win by convincing voters why they should vote for me, not by getting rid of them, and that’s why I’m standing as principal, and I’m doing the same today, every step of the way. Say.”

“I have the record that you also said you would pardon the president…do you still support that idea? are you there?” (Related: CNN anchor furious over Jack Smith eating Subway sandwich after Trump report)

“I don’t like what happened, Neil. ”

“He will have a lot to forgive. There are three incidents and probably a fourth is his alleged role in Georgia trying to influence the state and its elections.” Can you forgive him for all that?”

“Well, the Georgia lawsuit has not yet been filed. A man to fit the law, but for the two indictments that have been filed so far, as you say, I promised to pardon him, and I think it’s in our national interest as we move forward as a nation. ‘ said Ramaswamy. “There are other candidates in this field who want Trump out. I want to let you win.”

Trump has been charged with 37 counts of mishandling classified documents. Mr Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Trump was also indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in connection with former attorney Michael Cohen, who is suspected of paying former porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 in hush money. .
