‘Well, That Is True’: Dem Congressman’s Attempt To Disprove Joe Biden Allegations Backfires

New York State Rep. Dan Goldman, a Democrat, has unsuccessfully tried to debunk an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblower complaint that Hunter and Joe Biden collaborated on a foreign deal.

Goldman told IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley on Wednesday that his testimony did not involve a business deal between Joe Biden and his son. He immediately withdrew his own attempt after reading Shapley’s testimony. (Related: Democrats Trying to Hijack IRS Whistleblowing Hearings to Make It About Donald Trump)

“And according to Rob Walker, you testified that Hunter told his father, ‘Maybe he’s trying to start a company or do something with these people,'” Goldman said. “Then one thing, if Hunter Biden is saying he was trying to do business with CEFC, then I don’t think Joe Biden was involved in what Hunter Biden was doing with CEFC, right?”

Shapley told Goldman that the citation revealed that Hunter had told his father of the business plan.

“No, but it shows that he told his father he was going into business,” Shapley said.

“Well, it’s true. Hunter Biden is trying to do business. That’s right,” Goldman said before accusing Shapley of “no direct evidence linking Joe Biden to Hunter Biden business deals.”

Shapley is one of two whistleblowers who testified before the House Oversight Committee that the Justice Department politicized the Hunter Biden investigation.
