Meet Callie, a 5-year-old boxer mix who harbors hopes for a peaceful life. Callie found herself at the Arizona Humane Society last November after her previous owner turned her over to her field team as a result of their investigation. At first, Callie was understandably distrustful, and she was nervous and reactive. She didn't know any of the AHS team members who visited her daily to check on her health, feed her, and prepare her for adoption. And because of her hesitation, it was difficult to show her true self. However, after some tender love and care from our talented behavior team, Callie begins to get used to her surroundings and she enjoys walks and playtime, especially when chicken or hot dogs are involved. I learned that. She knows by now that Callie will sit and rock with her pride and she will gladly lay her head on your lap for a pet. She has lived with other dogs before, but she wants to meet her new sibling before living with them. Callie is ready to become the dog of your dreams.
