Country music star Morgan Wallen's album One Thing at a Time returned to the No. 1 spot on Sunday, shortly after releasing a teaser track.
Warren's surprising 36-track album “One Thing at a Time” billboard 200 It topped the album chart for 17 consecutive weeks, gaining 61,000 equivalent album units in the second week of January. The album hit No. 1 in March 2023, staying at number one for an initial 12 weeks, then bouncing up and down the charts throughout the rest of the year.
That same weekend, Wallen decided to tease his fans with a clip of his new song “I Guess.” share on social media Saturday. This is definitely a deeper country track, a return to his roots as he has evolved his country sound over his past two albums.
It's unclear whether Warren's return to No. 1 has anything to do with the teaser track, but the timing is certainly interesting.
Fellow country singer Parker McCollum commented on the post, saying, “Release it like it is.” “Very good.” And he's right. It's a very good song, but one that tugs at the heartstrings of America's youth in a way that only Warren can. He's only 30 years old, and most of his lyrics speak to his generation and younger, noting the evolution of modern love compared to his old country songs.
