Phoenix (3TV/CBS 5) –Michael Turney, the Valley man who was acquitted of murdering his stepdaughter Alyssa Turney last summer, is now hiring the Phoenix Police Department, Maricopa County's top prosecutor and now former Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone. I'm suing.

In his complaint against the defendants, Mr. Turney alleges that two Phoenix police officers “conspired” with Maricopa County prosecutors to punish Mr. Turney “under the cover of the law without due process.” ing. He said it was not provided. Turney also claimed that officers used excessive force during his arrest. After officers spotted Turney riding an electric bike in Phoenix, Phoenix police “opted for a full-scale military operation,” according to the lawsuit, which said Turney was hit by an armored vehicle and an officer shot him by the throat. He claimed that he was injured when he hit him.

Turney is seeking more than $300,000 in damages, including $1,800 in damages for the “military attack” and $10,000 for dental repairs.

Turney was acquitted last year of all murder charges in her stepdaughter's death after a judge ruled there was not enough evidence to convict her. Prosecutors previously said he took hundreds of tapes and recordings of Alissa and tried to control her life. But defense attorneys told the court there was no crime scene evidence and no evidence that Alissa was dead.
