Woman Killed in Cement-Truck Crash on Williamson Valley Road [Yavapai County, AZ]

Female driver killed in cement mixer crash near Pioneer Parkway

Yavapai County, Arizona (June 18, 2024) – One woman was killed after a collision with a cement truck at Williamson Valley Road and Pioneer Parkway Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 12:00 p.m. on June 5th.

Investigators reported that a vehicle was stopped in the northbound lanes as another vehicle attempted to pass it. The two vehicles collided, with one vehicle swerving into the path of a nearby cement truck, which then struck a guardrail and one vehicle came to rest on the dirt shoulder of the road.

Emergency responders transported the seriously injured driver of the vehicle by helicopter to Deer Valley Hospital, where his wife, who was in the passenger seat, died from her injuries on the way to the hospital.

After an initial investigation, police do not suspect intoxication as a cause of the crash.The investigation into the cement truck crash on Williamson Valley Road remains ongoing and authorities are working to gather more information.
