My guy is still going strong!
Max ScherzerThe Texas Rangers' ace starting pitcher made his season debut on Sunday and was nothing short of phenomenal. Not only did the veteran make a spectacular return, but he also made some incredible history in the process.
In a game against the Kansas City Royals Three-time Cy Young Award winner He allowed just one hit over five innings, throwing a total of 57 pitches and striking out four. Additionally, the 39-year-old also pitched five no-hitter innings. (Related article: Mets' Edwin Diaz ejected before game begins for excessive possession of adhesive substance)
Scherzer's stellar performance led the Rangers to 4-0 shutout victoryand it also became his own record.
Mad Max struck out four batters, tying him with the legendary Greg Maddux for 11th-most strikeouts in major league history with 3,371.

I'm happy for Max Scherzer, but as an Atlanta Braves fan, it's a little bittersweet to see him surpass Greg Maddux.
He was one of our GOATs!
On this day in 1997, Greg Maddux threw a complete game victory using just 78 pitches. 😱 pic.twitter.com/CnUPao6yEV

Plus, my latest bet is for the Rangers to completely fail (on the offensive side)…
Typically a line like this would be 6.5, but it's worth it at 5.5. Peralta has hit this over 6-of-6 times at home, a 100% hitting rate. In total, he's hit 12-of-15 times. Plus, he's averaging 7.7 strikeouts at home and 11 on the road against Texas. It's an easy bet here. pic.twitter.com/9JZwRLoV2S
