“This move is part of your Administration's pattern of blocking arms sales to our allies without adequate explanation or strategic foresight,” the letter said. “In December, your Administration withheld the delivery of more than 20,000 U.S.-made rifles to Israel. Lawmakers argued that this would damage America's relationships with other allies around the world.
“These delays harm our allies and our defense industrial base, and have adverse effects on our national security,” the letter continued. “Our allies and partners need to know they can count on U.S. manufacturing to provide the equipment and materials they need to protect their national security. They reiterated the need for the United States to continue supporting Israel in its fight against Hamas.
“The United States must stand with our allies and strategic partners,” the letter said. “President Biden, through your actions and words, your administration has made our allies doubt America's loyalty. The United States must stand with Israel throughout its conflict and support it until it achieves its goal of dismantling Hamas.”
