MORGAN MURPHY: Biden’s Most Shocking Lie

The old man lied, his mouth hanging open and staring straight at the floor.

“when [Trump] “When I was president, people were still being killed in Afghanistan and he didn't do anything about it,” President Joe Biden said, his voice rising. (Related article: Shoshana Bryan: The outcome of Biden's Iran policy is now clear)

Watching the first presidential debate of 2024, I couldn't believe Biden uttered the words “Afghanistan.” The current commander in chief has abandoned 20 years of hard-won American achievements in a dusty, godforsaken country. Biden has handed Afghanistan over to the Taliban. He has destroyed $8 billion worth of equipment and $2 trillion Investment losses.

Did he think we had forgotten that the disaster in Afghanistan was unfolding under his watch? Less than three months after taking office, Biden claimed the mere 2,500 U.S. troops in Afghanistan would be completely withdrawn by September 11, 2021. For comparison, Biden has demanded a 10-fold withdrawal. the number of troops guarding Washington's own inauguration;

He later tried to blame President Trump for the disaster in Afghanistan, but Biden gave the order, which has been archived. here At the Department of Defense.

By announcing the withdrawal date to the enemy, abandoning the most strategic military bases, including Bagram Air Base, and ignoring top military advisers, Biden has turned Operation Enduring Freedom into a lasting embarrassment for the United States.

Biden's withdrawal from Kabul was America's most humiliating defeat since British troops stormed Washington in August 1814 and burned the White House, Capitol and Navy Yard.

As is often the case with defeat, the debacle weakened America's deterrent power around the world, and the failure to withdraw from Afghanistan arguably emboldened President Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine six months later.

On the CNN debate stage, Biden shamelessly doubled down on the lie with an even bigger lie.

“The truth is, in this century, in this decade, [sic] No soldier dies in the world. [Trump] “I did,” he said.

It would be unconscionable for a commander in chief to forget the soldiers who gave their last loyal service during his term. In August 2021, 11 Marines, one Army soldier and one Navy medic were killed in a bomb attack at Abiy Gate, Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, in an attempt to carry out President Biden's foolish Afghanistan orders.

Has Biden also forgotten about the three service members killed in a drone strike in Jordan in January?

I served in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011, and visited the country again in December 2020 with Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller. We flew to Kabul to visit troops and meet with General Austin S. Miller, the last commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan.

The facts communicated to us on the ground are that during the last eight months of the Trump administration's first term, 1 enemy casualty in AfghanistanThink about it: Afghanistan has been more peaceful under President Trump than it has been since before the 2001 US invasion.

Though partisan pundits would not admit it, Afghanistan was stable after four years of President Trump's presidency.

America did not intervene in new conflicts. Putin did not dare intervene in Ukraine. Peace had come to the whole Middle East with the signing of the Abraham Accords. Russia did not go into the arms of China or Iran. Even North Korea had suspended its missile tests. In short, the world became more stable and safer.

Let's hope that the majority of Americans vote to return to President Trump's more effective foreign policy and military strategy.
