Deputy Jesse Hubble died of natural causes on May 15 at age 47, according to the sheriff's office.
YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. — A Yavapai County Sheriff's Office deputy died early Wednesday morning. the sheriff's office said.
The sheriff's office announced in a news release that Deputy Jesse Hubble died of natural causes at his home on May 15. He was 47 years old. Deputy Hubble was hired by YSCO in July 2017 and was assigned to the northern part of the county in January 2018 after completing his training. In 2021, he also served as a field training officer for new deputies.
Prior to joining the YCSO, Mr. Hubble was a U.S. Navy veteran who received the Navy and Marine Corps Medal of Heroism for his role in rescuing a Navy pilot whose helicopter had crashed into the ocean in 2007. Mr. Hubble was an avid volunteer and coach for local youth sports.
“Deputy Hubble was well-respected by his peers and outside law enforcement agencies, as well as the community in which he served,” YCSO said in a news release. “He was praised by his superiors for his good judgment in stressful situations, his calm and low-key demeanor and his willingness to cooperate in any capacity.”

Hubble was presented with the award by members of the American Legion Robert Fulton Chapter 57 of Ash Fork in recognition of his dedicated service to the community.
Hubble is survived by his wife and two children.
“Deputy Sheriff Jesse Hubble served this country and the Yavapai County Police Department with humility, honor and a heart of service,” Yavapai County Police Sheriff David Rose said in a statement. “His sacrifice will never be forgotten, and please join me and the entire Yavapai County Police community in sending our condolences to his wife and children. Thank you, Jesse Hubble, for a life of service to your country and community.”
The YCSO will be holding a fundraiser for the family, according to a news release.
