Dr. Tim Pitts, a Parkinson's disease specialist, told NBC News that President Joe Biden is displaying “historical” symptoms of the disease.
Pitts, a lifelong Democrat, said Biden's slow movements, sluggish arm swing and “small, monotone voice” were telltale signs of Parkinson's disease, a movement disorder caused by damage to the central nervous system.
“That's the thing about Parkinson's disease. It's actually one of the easier movement disorders to diagnose because there are very few other things you can diagnose. I'm a Democrat, but I don't think this guy is a hard case,” Pitts said.

The news anchor asked Pitts if he was “frustrated” by the situation. The doctor criticized the White House for concealing Biden's neurodegenerative disease and for Democrats not considering replacing him until the summer before the presidential election. “I'm an American first and foremost, and when Russia, the Soviet Union, North Korea do something crazy, I say this. When North Korea says the power grid is faulty, the lights won't turn on, I hate that. It took them four years, my party four years. It was a slow-motion disaster. They had four years to find one person out of 350 Americans who could replace him, and now we're trying to replace a guy who does his homework the day before school and has a neurodegenerative disease,” Pitts said.
According to White House visitor records, Dr. Kevin Canard, a Parkinson's disease expert, visited the White House eight times over an eight-month period between July 2023 and March 2024, The New York Times reported. reportThe neurologist and movement disorder specialist met with Biden's physician, Dr. Kevin O'Connor, and two others at the White House residence clinic on Jan. 17, records show. according to Of the remaining two, one has been identified as Dr. John E. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre maintained that Biden is not receiving treatment for Parkinson's disease and has seen a neurologist three times as part of a routine medical checkup. Biden's staff reportedly claimed he had a cold during the June 27 debate, despite not mentioning a possible illness before the debate.
