ABC News' George Stephanopoulos shared his thoughts on President Joe Biden's reelection on Tuesday in a video obtained by TMZ, admitting, “I don't think he can serve another four years.”
Biden spoke with Stephanopoulos in a taped interview that aired Friday night in an attempt to ease Democratic panic following his poor performance in the June 27 debate. Biden was approached by a pedestrian on the afternoon of the 5th.Number Speaking at the Avenues in New York City, Stephanopoulou expressed concern about Biden serving another four years in the presidency. “Hey, how's it going?” a pedestrian asked the “Good Morning America” co-host and “This Week” anchor, who was dressed in black, wearing headphones and looking at his phone as he walked.
“How are you?” Stephanopoulos replied, then appeared to drop the conversation as he walked out of view of the camera.
“Do you think Biden should resign? You've talked to him more than anybody lately,” the pedestrian said.
“I don't believe he can serve another four years,” Stephanopoulos said.
“Okay, that's the answer,” the pedestrian said.

According to footage released by TMZ, Stephanopoulos was apprehended in Midtown Manhattan.

“I answered a question from a passerby today and I should not have done so,” Stephanopoulos said through a spokesman, TMZ reported.
ABC News also released a statement distancing itself from Stephanopoulos' comments.
“George was expressing his own views, not the position of ABC News,” an ABC spokesperson said, according to TMZ.

Biden announced his intention to seek reelection in the interview with Stephanopoulos, and the Democratic president told Stephanopoulos he doesn't believe he's trailing in the polls and dismissed his debate performance as simply “bad.”
