Umpire, Coach Get Into Wild Brawl At North Carolina Little League Game Over Swearing In Front Of Kids

The referee's best solution to abuse is… violence? (LOL)

The game was a tournament between Cherryville and Bull City Little League 12-and-under teams competing for the North Carolina State Championship at the Gillette Baseball Complex in Wilson. In the top of the fifth inning, this crazy video shows the Cherryville coach approaching the home plate umpire down the third base line, and umpire Robbie Beamon can be heard saying that a coach who swears in front of kids should be removed from the game and taken off the field.

As both players reached home plate, another umpire tried to stop them, but as he did so, a coach shoved Beamon away. And from there, chaos ensued.

clock:

Oh man, that's a really tough look for this coach.

Not only did he start the fight, and not only did he get hit in the head by the referee, but while the brawl was going on, as you can see in the upper left corner of the video, Cherryville was losing the game 15-6. What a terrible way to lose.

I think it's fair to say this guy will never get another job, which will only increase his embarrassment. This is awful, this is awful.
