MSNBC legal analyst Glenn Kirschner on Monday urged corporate media to double down on negative coverage of former President Donald Trump while not “flaming” the case for criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Let's expect the media to be laser-beam focused on Donald Trump's age and cognitive decline in the same way they were obsessed with Joe Biden's age and cognitive decline,” Kirschner said. “In that respect Joe Biden is no longer the issue. To be fair, let's expect the media to now shift their laser-beam focus on age and cognitive decline to Donald Trump.”
“I don't want to see the mainstream media now focused on finding ways to disparage Kamala Harris every minute of every day,” the former federal prosecutor later continued. “I don't want to see. So, do we want fair reporting and fair criticism of, say, the history of decisions Kamala Harris may have made, and her policy platform and priorities going forward? Yes, let's have a robust debate about that, about ideas, about policies, about the best way to move the country forward instead of sending it back in the direction Donald Trump wants it. But I don't want to see the mainstream media fueling every minute of every day for reasons to disparage and complain about Kamala Harris, just as they are obsessed with reporting on Joe Biden's age and declining cognitive function every minute of every day.”
Kirschner suggested in early July that Biden would “use” the Supreme Court's presidential immunity ruling to “protect American democracy” from Trump, claiming that the former president would become a “dictator” if re-elected.
“There are no two sides to treason. There are no two sides to the fight to defend, repair and rebuild our democracy,” he said Monday. “There are no two sides to the stripping away of a woman's constitutional right to privacy by an out-of-control president and Supreme Court. There are no two sides to these issues.”
