‘Morning Joe’ Guest Says It Is ‘Impossible’ To Believe In Christian Values While Supporting Trump

Stuart Stevens of the Lincoln Project said Tuesday that it's “impossible” for supporters of Republican candidate Donald Trump to truly believe in Christian values.

Stevens said on MSNBC's “Morning Joe” that some evangelical leaders are conflicted about their communities' support for Trump, and questioned whether Christians who voted for the Republican candidate really believe what they claim to.

“I don't think this is that complicated. I think it's a deep, unfortunate display of the fact that many voters don't really believe what they say they believe,” Stevens said. “You can't believe in Christian values ​​and support someone like Donald Trump. I don't think you can have both.”
