Security Guard For Chris Brown’s Event Sues The Star For $15 Million After Violent Encounter: REPORT

Frederick Overpeck, a security guard at Chris Brown's Fort Worth, Texas, show, has filed a $15 million lawsuit against the star, alleging assault.

Overpeck's lawsuit was filed Wednesday in Harris County District Court, and he claims he “suffered severe injuries to his lower back and cracked vertebrae in his neck” while trying to stop an assault allegedly perpetrated by Brown and his entourage on concertgoers. Rolling StoneThe security guard hired the same lawyer, Tony Buzbee, as the four alleged assault victims, who filed a $50 million lawsuit against Brown.

Overpeck said he was injured while trying to stop a violent confrontation and was caught up in the chaos. According to Rolling Stone, court documents state that Overpeck was employed as the head security guard behind the scenes at Dickies Arena.

A security guard said he saw Brown throw the first punch on Monday at one of four plaintiffs pursuing a lawsuit against the famed singer. According to Rolling Stone, Overpeck claims he was shoved off the road when he tried to intervene.

“This was an unprovoked attack and Chris Brown not only directed it, but threw the first punch,” Buzbee said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “We will use the full force and authority of the court system to obtain justice.”

The lawsuit names Brown, several members of his campaign and concert promoter Live Nation as defendants. (RELATED: Assault victims sue Chris Brown for $50 million in damages)

According to Rolling Stone, Overpeck is suing for assault, battery, negligence/gross negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
