Maricopa County summer youth reading program comes to Peoria

Peoria youth are invited to participate in Maricopa County's summer reading program.

Young readers can visit community partners throughout Peoria to earn a secret code that can be used to earn badges and points toward summer reading program prizes by entering the secret code into their account at: MaricopaCountyLeads.org.

Young people can win special prizes by asking a library staff member at any Peoria Public Library desk to “read the news.”

The secret codes are hidden in the following companies:

Culver's – 8271 W. Ludlow Drive
Raising Cane's – 7930 W. Bell Rd. or 25300 N. Lake Pleasant Pkwy.
Chick-fil-A – 16657 N. 83rd Ave.

Bobazona – 16055 N. Arrowhead Fountains Center Dr.

Theatreworks – 10580 N. 83rd Dr.

The Peoria Public Library System is one of 65 libraries participating in Maricopa County's Summer Reading Program, where readers can win prizes based on the number of points they earn, with options including free books for personal use or donations to local Head Start classrooms.

The program ends on August 1st.
