Democratic Rep. Dan Goldman of New York was incensed after Fox News' Bret Baier challenged his claim on Monday's “Special Report” that former President Trump had not agreed to debate Vice President Kamala Harris.
“If I were Donald Trump, I could understand why he wouldn't want to debate,” Goldman argued.
“Well, he's accepted three,” Beyer countered. “He's accepted Sept. 4, Sept. 10, Sept. 17. He's accepted a lot of them, so he's clearly not afraid of debate,” Beyer continued.
“No, no, no,” Goldman stammered. “No, no, no, he agreed to air it on ABC on September 10th.”

Baier: “He accepted three: Sept. 4, Sept. 10 and Sept. 17.”

“With Biden being kicked out,” Baier responded.
“What's the difference? Why isn't he debating whoever the nominee is on September 10th as agreed? What's the difference between Biden and Harris?” Goldman asked.
“No, no, it's OK. He said he would. I'm just saying he agreed to the other debates. You said he didn't agree to the other debates, but he did. It's the Kamala Harris campaign that hasn't agreed to the dissent,” Beyer concluded.
ABC News Washington bureau chief Ryan Klein tweeted Thursday that the two sides had agreed to a Sept. 10 ABC debate.

But Harris did not agree to the Fox News debate, nor to a separate NBC News debate to which Trump agreed. (RELATED: 'She had a good teacher': Leo Terrell says Kamala Harris learned to plagiarize from Joe Biden)
At a rally in Palm Beach on Thursday, Trump said he agreed with the Fox News debate on Sept. 4, the NBC News debate on Sept. 10 and the ABC News debate on Sept. 25, but Klain's tweets seem to contradict that.

Trump later corrected himself in a Truth Social post, saying the ABC News debate would take place on September 10th, and the NBC News debate would take place on the 25th.
Harris' campaign I said before Trump had “scared himself away” from debates, but agreed to one on September 10.
