Former President Donald Trump and Elon Musk's interview on Monday night was delayed by nearly 40 minutes due to technical issues, but the two continued to discuss a range of topics for more than two hours afterwards.
After an initial failed launch, Twitter's “Spaces” proceeded without any glitches, with “low listener numbers.” Musk criticized Musk suggested it was an “attack” from Democrats. Tune in to an audience of more than one million people, and began the interview by questioning Trump about the assassination attempt, illegal immigration and Vice President Kamala Harris' lack of media presence.
“What was the assassination attempt like?” Musk began.
“It's not a pleasant thing,” Trump joked.

The former president told Musk he was considering returning to the site of the assassination attempt in October to pick up where he left off.

Trump accused Harris of copying his “no tip tax” campaign proposal and criticized her role as a “border czar,” before slamming her for not giving interviews since launching her presidential campaign. Harris has not given a sit-down interview, held a press conference or taken only a few questions from reporters since becoming the presumptive Democratic nominee 22 days ago. Campaign officials previously told the Daily Caller that Sen. J.D. Vance will accompany her to rallies to highlight the contrast with her media presence and record.

Elon Musk has instructed President Trump to set up a government efficiency commission and has said he would like to work with him on the committee.

About an hour after discussing foreign relations and the economy, Trump compared his own stamina and ability to handle media interviews to Harris and Biden.

Musk and Trump also discussed Trump's plans for 2025 if he is elected president again, with Musk saying he would like to abolish the Department of Education and give power back to the states, and Musk told Trump he would be happy to join the administration's Commission on Government Efficiency.
“I'm just asking: Are you happier now or were you happier when I was president?” Trump said, finishing his remarks near 11 p.m. “I don't think any of us are happier now.”
