Video Shows Head Of Chechen Republic Driving Machine Gun-Mounted Cybertruck, Inviting Elon Musk To Visit

The leader of the Chechen republic was seen on video getting behind the wheel of a machine gun-mounted Cybertruck on Saturday and inviting Elon Musk to visit, The Associated Press reported.

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov attracted attention when he posted a video on his Telegram channel showing him driving a Tesla Cybertruck equipped with a machine gun. picture Kadyrov was seen driving a stainless steel vehicle and standing next to weapons surrounded by belts of ammunition, according to the Associated Press. According to the Associated Press, Kadyrov praised the Cybertruck in the video, calling it “without a doubt one of the best cars in the world” and further adding that he “literally fell in love with it.” Kadyrov then announced his intention to donate the vehicle to Russian troops serving in the Ukrainian conflict, saying it would serve the military as a “cyberbeast.” While showing off the military vehicle, Kadyrov also invited Musk to visit Chechnya.

Kadyrov claims he received the Cybertruck from Tesla's CEO, but the claim is unconfirmed as Tesla did not respond to a request for comment, The Associated Press reported. (Related article: Cybertruck goes out of control and crashes into house just hours after purchase)

“I think the Russian Foreign Ministry would not mind such a visit,” Kadyrov said, according to the Associated Press. “And, of course, we are waiting for new developments that would help complete the special military operation (in Ukraine).”

Kadyrov is currently under US sanctions in connection with a number of alleged human rights abuses, according to the Associated Press.
