According to 12News, the vehicle grazed a couple and their dog.
Holmberg described the impact of the crash to the media, noting that the debris was traveling at high speeds. “It was all traveling at 30, 40, 50 miles per hour, because that's how fast the cars were going,” he was quoted as saying. Phoenix police told the media they had detained the person believed to be the driver of the Mustang, and that intoxication was a factor. The couple turned to crowdfunding to cover the costs of repairs to their home and Holmberg's truck. “We are just trying to survive. We are asking for the bare minimum to repair our home and truck,” Holmberg reportedly wrote on a GoFundMe page.
They remain grateful that they were safe. “The biggest mystery is, how on earth did we get so lucky? I don't believe in luck. Someone was watching over us to keep us safe,” Holmberg told the outlet.
