SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – A new initiative is in place to provide a big boost to local entrepreneurs in Yuma County, thanks to an economic grant recently awarded by Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs.
The grant was allocated to: Comite de bien estaA local organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and supporting small businesses in Yuma County.
The funding will be provided through the Business Financial Resources (BFR) program, a community-based initiative led by Director Maria Aguirre.
The BFR program is designed to provide capital and education to small business owners and entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on microbusiness development.
“This funding is available to any business customers in Yuma County who need assistance,” Aguirre said.
She emphasized the important role small businesses play in Arizona's economy, saying, “We know Arizona's small businesses are our backbone, and this initiative opens up new funding opportunities to lend to these small businesses.”
The initiative is expected to spur economic growth throughout Yuma County and create new opportunities for residents.
Comite De Bien Estar is now accepting applications for these loans, which aim to support local businesses and promote community development.
