Here’s every school board seat up for grabs in Yavapai County this November

School board elections typically receive less attention than most important elections.

But school board elections remain important. School board members can set district policy, hire a superintendent, and make decisions about supplemental curriculum. For example, sex education is not mandatory in Arizona. If a school chooses to offer sex education, the class must be approved by the school board.

Yavapai County has 66 school board seats up for election this November. There are two-year and four-year terms. And remember. Everyone in the district votes for school board members, regardless of whether they have children in public schools or not. The people who govern school districts make decisions that affect the entire community. So on November 5th, be prepared to vote for candidates who share your values.
