‘Flood Gate Of Lies Must Stop’: ABC Panel Explodes Over Anti-Trump Talking Point

An ABC News panel exploded on Sunday when former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus blasted Democratic rhetoric leading up to the assassination attempt on 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. .

Priebus dismissed former Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile’s “monologue” praising the Biden-Harris administration’s response to the July 13 shooting of Trump.

The former RNC chairman reminded Brazil of how Democrats labeled President Trump a “threat to democracy” before the first attempt on his life.

“Don’t sit here and act like you’re holier-than-thou, that you’re in control of this message, because you don’t,” Priebus told Brasile and told her girlfriend began to interrupt Mr. Brazil’s rebuttal.

“That’s a misunderstanding!” exclaimed the former DNC chairman.

“That’s why she can’t win. That’s why Harris is behind and that’s why she loses,” Priebus argued.

“This Week” host George Stephanopoulos criticized Priebus for not clearly clearing Democrats of responsibility in his comments.

“I’m not blaming the Democrats!” Priebus said after Stephanopoulos told him to “just say it’s wrong.”

“I said it earlier, okay? But it’s also wrong to portray President Trump, the president of the United States, as a threat to democracy that will end the United States,” one panelist said, “The former president!” Priebus continued.

“What effect does that have on people’s minds?” Priebus asked.

Brazil chimed in, attacking Priebus for criticizing the Republican Party’s stance on illegal immigration. The former RNC chairman told Brazile that while continuing to talk about President Trump, he was discussing the president’s near-death experience. “Democrats condemned it. But the floodgates of lies, lies, have to stop!” she said.

“What lies? Is President Trump going to monitor women’s pregnancies?” Priebus fired back, referring to false claims about Project 2025.

“Project 2025 has nothing to do with President Trump. But you know what? This is a good talking point for Democrats, and they keep saying it,” Reins said.
