Watch the life cycle of mail-in ballots in new Maricopa County Recorder’s Office video

A new video created by the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office will allow voters to track the lifecycle of their mail-in ballot.

Luke Forstner, a spokesman for the Recorder’s Office, said in a high-profile election like this one, it’s more important than ever to be transparent about the process.

“We take comfort in the fact that these people can follow the process, know how this works, and understand what this process is like behind the scenes. We want to be able to do that,” Forsner said.

This video explains everything from printing the first ballot to how the results are tabulated.

It also describes how certain issues such as signature mismatches and incorrectly filled bubbles are resolved.

Forstner also said Maricopa County voters can track their voting status and find answers to additional questions. beballotready.vote.

Early voting has already begun in Arizona, and election day is Tuesday, November 5th.
