Former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy announced on Friday that Washington, D.C., District Judge Tanya Chutkan will allow the release of additional documents from special counsel Jack Smith to potential jurors against former President Donald Trump. He said there was a risk of prejudice.
Mr. Chutkan agreed to Mr. Smith’s request to make available to the public four documents totaling more than 1,800 pages containing potential evidence in Mr. Smith’s federal election interference case against Mr. Trump. “I’m not interested, because from the beginning I thought this was a political exercise.
