Democratic Sen. John Fetterman Calls Trump Support In Pennsylvania ‘Astonishing’

Democratic Sen. John Fetterman said in an interview with The New York Times published Saturday that 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump “100 percent” has a special connection with Pennsylvanians.

Pennsylvania state senator said You may not understand why support for Trump is so strong in your state, but you have to admit that it’s there.

“You can see the intensity. It’s amazing,” Fetterman told Lulu Garcia-Navarro.

Fetterman said he came across a large Trump merchandise store while attending an event in Indiana, which he described as “very red-hot.” He noted dozens of T-shirts and bumper stickers featuring images of Republican candidates.

“It’s like taking your own life. And it’s like there’s something special about it. That doesn’t mean I admire it, but it’s real.” said Fetterman.

Fetterman also said billionaire Elon Musk’s teaming up with Trump moved the needle for many Pennsylvania voters. (RELATED: ‘You’re not a Kamala person, I know you’: Joe Rogan makes the case about why President Trump is a better candidate than Harris)

“When he started showing up, I was really wary of that,” Fetterman told the outlet.

“Recommendations often don’t mean much, but I think this one does, and that’s what concerns me,” he said of masks.

Musk endorsed Trump shortly after the former president was shot in the ear at a July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The SpaceX and Tesla founder, who also acquired Twitter, first appeared on stage with Trump when he returned to Butler for the Oct. 5 rally.

Since then, Musk has become a spokesperson for Trump’s campaign, holding several events in Pennsylvania in October. He also launched the America PAC, which targets seven battleground states by encouraging residents to register and vote.

Musk will also give away $1 million every day until Election Day to people who sign petitions pledging support for the First and Second Amendments.
