President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday announced his nomination of Paul Atkins to be the next chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, according to a social media post.
President Trump praises Atkins as a “proven leader” According to To Wednesday’s post on Truth Social. Atkins is CEO and founder. Patomac Global Partnersa risk management consulting firm.
“I am pleased to announce that I have nominated Paul Atkins to be the next Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission,” President Trump wrote. “Paul has proven to be a leader in common sense regulation. We believe in the promise of capital markets.”
