On August 12, Brendan Anderson, 39, and Eileen Dukes, 41, were arrested and charged with trespassing and littering in the Navajo County Jail. They were both held with a $5,000 secured bond.
In September 2021, the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office was contacted regarding a trespassing complaint east of Snowflake off Old Woodruff Road. Agents contacted Anderson and Dukes about the property, and when asked about the property, they said they knew the owner and had permission to stay.
On June 10, an NCSO Community Resources representative confirmed ownership of this property. A lieutenant determined that Anderson and Dukes were occupying private and state property. They both admitted that they did not know the owner of the property and that they had trespassed.
They were contacted by agents on two different occasions and given sufficient time to vacate the property and clean up the mess. Action has been taken.
On August 12, the NCSO arrested both Anderson and Dukes. Contractors hired by the Arizona Land Department have removed over 26,000 pounds of trash from the property, in addition to two travel his trailers. Private property owners share decontamination costs with the state.

HOLBROOK — On August 19, Navajo County Sheriff’s Deputies implemented a traffic stop for traffic violations at Milepost 291 on Interstate 40.
Mark Kenley Eliasar, 30, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was arrested for possessing marijuana, possessing marijuana for sale, and transporting marijuana and was incarcerated in the Navajo County Jail.
During the traffic stop, the deputy recognized signs of criminal activity at which point he called a police dog for assistance. Zolton conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle and received a positive alert. During a search of the vehicle, 26 pounds of marijuana were found and seized.

On July 31, agents were dispatched to Winslow’s French Road and North Road to report a single vehicle collision. The reporter reported that two women fled the scene on foot. Deputies located Winslow’s Thad Marie Lynch, 36, who was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash. After further investigation, Lynch was arrested and imprisoned in the Navajo County Jail for extreme DUI and criminal damage.
On July 31, delegates were sent to the Navajo County Jail in Holbrook to receive reports of property damage. Agents have arrested and rebooked Hotevilla Adam Tso, 27, for vandalizing prison property.
On August 4, lawmakers implemented a traffic stop on Navajo Boulevard and Arizona Avenue in Holbrook. Multiple open containers of alcoholic beverages were found during a traffic stop. His 61-year-old Harold Martinez of Holbrook was arrested for opening a container inside the vehicle.
On August 6, a representative was dispatched to Block 8500 of Sun Valley Villas for a domestic violence report. A representative has spoken to both individuals involved. After further investigation, Daniel Sandoval, 35, of Holbrook was arrested and placed in the Navajo County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage.
Heber/Overgard/Clay Springs/Pinedale
On August 5, agents implemented a traffic stop at ATVs in Forest Park and Antelope Trail. The ATV’s sole resident was found to have had his license revoked, and during a personal search, 1.9 grams of methamphetamine was found on his person. Byron Hunt, 40, of Heber, Navajo County, was arrested for having his license revoked and possessing dangerous drugs and was imprisoned in the Navajo County Jail.
