Former federal prosecutor Jim Trusty said Tuesday that former President Joe Biden’s preemptive pardon of former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci could make him more vulnerable to perjury charges. He said that there is a sex.

The pardon dates back to 2014 and covers Fauci’s tenure as a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force and his time as Biden’s chief medical adviser. Fauci is accused of lying to Congress and evading Freedom of Information Act requests.
Fauci has said the coronavirus is a “natural occurrence” and disputed the possibility that a supplementary award his agency gave to the Wuhan Institute of Virology may have funded the virus’s origin. Experts have suggested that Fauci lied multiple times during his testimony to Congress, including when he claimed that the virus he funded could not become COVID-19.
“The viruses studied under the sub-award to the Wuhan Institute… those viruses are phylogenetically distant from SARS-CoV-2 and it is molecularly impossible that these viruses evolved from SARS COV2. ,” he testified before Congress in June.
Fauci also denied that his agency had funded gain-of-function research, which experts found to be a lie, saying the former NIAID director blurred the definition of controversial research. He said that
