Trump Pardons Pro-Lifers Ahead Of March For Life

President Donald Trump on Thursday pardoned 23 pro-life activists charged by the Biden administration for peacefully protesting outside an abortion clinic.

Former President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) frequently used the Freedom of Access to Health (FACE) Act to target patients, many of them elderly, who were sentenced to multiple years in prison. The pardon comes one day before the annual march for which Vice President J.D. Vance is set talk.

“Twenty-three people were indicted. They should not have been indicted,” Trump said while signing the pardon. “Many of them are elderly. They should not have been prosecuted. It’s a great honor to sign this.”

Biden has been a staunch defender of abortion during his presidency. He is a landmark Roev. Wade called for the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn a “tragic error” and attempt to enforce federal abortion protections despite the incident. The former president also praised abortion advocates.
