President Donald Trump has appointed conservative fire truck Richard Grenell as interim executive director of the Kennedy Center as part of the facility’s acquisition.
Trump aired his decision to tap Grenell on February 10th.

Grenell was Trump’s German ambassador during the first Trump administration. He also served as the acting director of national intelligence and special envoy between Serbia and Kosovo. This was the latest development in a series of moves designed to enhance Trump’s grip at the Performing Arts Center. The President declared his intention to take over the facility in the true society of February 7th. He said he will lead multiple board members appointed by former President Joe Biden as chair. Those expelled included former Biden spokesman Carine Jean Pierre and former senior adviser Mike Donilon. According to New York Times. Trump denounced the “anti-American propaganda” that had previously been pushed at the Kennedy Center, saying he intends to ensure future performances are more aligned with his vision.
