New Arizona bill to require pornography age verification

Yuma, Arizona (Kyma, Kecy) – A new bill approved by the Arizona House of Representatives will restrict porn access online.

Arizona Representative Nick Kupper has introduced a bill that requires a porn website to verify the age of users.

“We weren’t in the ball enough to protect them from the dangers of porn,” Rep. Kupper said.

These sites must use first or third party verification systems that cannot store data.

“If it’s a third party age verification, or if the porn site itself has a first-party process to verify age, if it can’t store data at all, and they can’t store a single data If it’s a fine of $10,000 per instance they were caught,” said Rep. Kupper.

The bill is based on a similar bill in Texas.

Rep. Kupper shares why he is so passionate about legislation.

“When it comes to protecting, we need to protect our children, but we know that children are our most vulnerable population, our most valuable population. Find ways to do both, Find ways to protect children without violating the right to inheritance of adults. I think that’s what this bill did,” Kupper said.

Winter Visitor Bob Pickett agrees to the bill.

“I think that’s a good idea. If you’re under 18, it’s definitely going to be 18, like I said I wouldn’t tolerate it at any age anyway,” says Rep. Kupper. I did.

The bill passed by 44-15 votes in the House, but will go to the Senate to vote in the coming weeks.
