Superior Court Administrator Calvin Rolf Eckel Announces his Retirement from the Yavapai County Superior Court

Yabapai County News – After nearly 18 years of serving Yabapai County citizens, Yabapai County Superior Court Administrator Calvin “Rolph” Eckel will retire on May 2, 2025. His court career as court administrator for Prescott Consolidated Court. Peace was appointed by a retired judge of Arthur Markham. He was later appointed by Chief Judge David McKee, who retired in August 2012 as Senior Court Administrator in Yabapai County.

While serving in the Superior Court, Eckel served on many committees, including the Supreme Court’s Technical and Court Safety Standards Committee. Rolf is also a member of the National Association of Court Management, the National Association of Judges and Court Executive Officers, and a former president of the Arizona Association of Superior Court Administrators.

One of Eckel’s most notable achievements was to chair the Centennial Committee to celebrate the 100-year historic Prescott Court in 2016. Additionally, Rolf has been praised for improving court security and improving court technology across all courtrooms and states in Yabapai County.
