The man who stole a key FOB from Maricopa County Election Headquarters was sentenced to serve in prison for several months on Wednesday.
Walter Ringfield Jr. was a temporary employee. For counties working at voting and counting centers during the 2024 election cycle.
The security key he stole quickly recoveredbut Forced to reprogram election equipment in the county.
He pleaded guilty to four felony charges to various crimes, including theft of the county election center.
Ringfield also admitted to stealing various things from state senators; Phoenix Museum of Art Jewelry And the grocery store. He appeared to be doing well at the verdict, but he did not make a statement.
He was sentenced to six months in prison and was on probation for about a month and a half and three years.
His release date is set for July 19th.
