Conservative radio host Dana Roche warned Republicans on Fox News Thursday evening on Fox News about the “danger” of California’s Gavin Newsom’s brand ahead of the 2028 presidential election.
Democratic Governor announcement On February 26th, his new podcast, “This Is Gavin Newsom,” was released. It features conversations with “some of the biggest leaders and architects of the MAGA movement” to promote engagement between the parties. The first episode of the podcast, released Thursday, made the headline after Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk told her that biological men competing in women’s sports were “deeply unfair.”
In “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Fox host Jesse Watters asked Loesch about the timing of Newsom’s comments on men competing in women’s sports and asked Loesch about the governor’s new stance. (Related: Gavin Newsom’s attempt to lock the blame on firefighters is in flames)
“It appears he turned out in 2026, and he’s got a general election he’s keeping his eye on in 2028. It’s very strange and goes this way for Gavin Newsom,” Loesch said. “I think this is dangerous for Republicans, so I’m so happy you have a finger in the pulse of this and you’re talking about it.
“I sometimes wonder if Democrats cry and bite their teeth for a reason, and they may be stupid for most of the time, right? But I have this and I hate to say this, it’s pretty strategically savvy among the Democrats,” added Roche. “They are lost. They are in the desert. They have no message or leaders to go anywhere. They have no other way to oppose the merciless, glorious onslaught that is coming from the Trump administration right now. So what will they do?”
clock:
Newsom touched on the hot topic issue with Kirk, but the California governor has previously supported policies promoting further transgender rights within the state, including allowing men in women’s prisons and schools to secretly transition their children without parental knowledge or consent.
Since President Donald Trump’s election victory, Democrats have struggled to find a central message or member that will raise for the party. While some are trying to focus on more progressive policies, others have said their “messaging” and “brands” are the main issues facing the party, like the newly elected Chairman of the Democratic Committee.
“They can’t go any further left. Where are they going to go further left? I mean, you’re going to rap yourself at that point. They have to go all the way to the middle, and Gavin Newsom is the way they’re floating it,” Roche said. “So he’s going to host this podcast and not go out to everyone else’s shows. He brings them to him, so when he turns out, he’ll establish a connection with himself beyond 2026. That’s why he has this platform and plans to use it as a marketing tool that will help him leverage the White House.”
“He moves into the middle. Democrats see him as if he’s been bullied of some sort, and he’s their new Democrat messiah. They’ll come behind him. Media, they’ll carry his baggage,” added Roche. “The people on the left are very whimsical. They have a very short span of attention.”
Roche continued to highlight the Democratic-led state’s key issues regarding unfinished high-speed rail, despite billions of taxpayer dollars being poured into the project and “on newspaper allowances for school children to make a social transition without parental notice or consent.”
“He was there for all of this and now he’s going to act like it’s not part of his legacy? Republicans can’t let him take this back,” Roche said. “I think this was his second attempt to reinvent himself. He only tried to do it when he chased Florida’s blueprint with California’s blueprint. It didn’t work very well. He fell on his face with that face. So, whoever they brought to help them finesse his message, they’re doing well.”
Following the release of the Newsom episode, the governor, along with Democratic Congressional members, Senator Chris Ward and Caroline Menjivar, received criticism from democratic and progressive party members I’m saying They were “deeply disgusted and frustrated” by their comments. However, this is not the first time Newsom has fired.
The California governor released a podcast more than a month after Los Angeles County burned into flames and destroyed thousands of homes and caused the state. Estimated Total economic losses of over $250 billion. Newsom has been criticised for his leadership in the state as California has dealt with high crime and a growing homeless population for many years.
