House Republicans have doubled the investigation into disciplinary action at a university that says anti-Israel “adgitators” ran in the wild.
The House Education and Workforce Committee on the Education and Workforce on Thursday asked five U.S. universities about their first response to anti-Semitism since October 2023, according to a letter obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. Tim Wahlberg of Michigan and Tim Wahlberg of Burgess Owens in Utah detailed their concerns, as well as protests at Northwestern University, Pomona College, Bowdo-in College and Sarah Lawrence College, as well as various “anti-Semitism” cases.
“Unfortunately, the campus anti-Semitism incident continues in the aftermath of the Hamastero attack on October 7, 2023,” reads one letter to Bernard, an affiliate of Columbia University. Columbia is at the heart of the controversy surrounding campus anti-Semitism, with President Donald Trump stripping taxpayers of funds for the issue.
Anti-Israel activists have I sued Columbia University and Bernard are trying to stop universities from handing over student disciplinary records to Congress since the Trump administration began targeting students abroad. It has not stopped investigating the house.
“As chairman of the Education and Workforce Committee (Committee) and the subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Development, we write to express our concern about two recent incidents on Bernard University’s campus,” Walberg’s chairman wrote.
Lawmakers pointed to protests in Bernard in February and March, when anti-Israeli mobs were allegedly occupying the building, assaulting employees, “disturbing library operations and scattering Prohama pamphlets.”

The letter calls on schools to provide documents and information regarding disciplinary action against student activists and to provide agreements made between school officials and protesters to resolve the dispute.
Letters to the other four schools have forced them to respond to several “anti-Semitic incidents,” including destructive anti-Israel camp protests that have occurred on all four campuses since October 7th. The committee also cheated Northwestern University in 2024 by providing legal representatives via law schools to “organizers of the anti-Israel blockade of highway traffic to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.”
The lawmaker said one of the defendants was “anti-Semitic and supporter of the terrorist voices calling for “October 7th until full release.” Social Media Posts.

In a statement, Northwestern told DCNF:
“While free expression and academic freedom are one of our core values, these values have made it clear that they do not provide excuses for behaviour that threatens the well-being of others,” the school said. “I feel confident in the actions I have taken to deal with anti-Semitism on campus, including my student code of conduct, disciplinary procedures and investments in public safety.”
“We continue to work tirelessly to make the university a safe and non-discriminatory educational institution,” the university told DCNF.
Other universities did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
