WASHINGTON – U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John G. Roberts on Tuesday rejected a call to federal judges for each, issuing rulings blocking Trump administration policies.
“For over two centuries, it has been established that ammo each is not an appropriate response to differences in opinion over judicial decisions,” Roberts said. “There is a normal appeal review process for that purpose.”
Comments provided to the state newsroom by a court spokesman come just hours after President Donald Trump vented his frustration with a federal judge on social media.
“I’m just doing what voters wanted to do with me,” Trump wrote. “This judge should be bounced each like many bent judges I’m forced to appear before!!! We don’t want vicious, violent, perceived criminals in our country, many of them confused killers.
The post appeared to be directed to District of Columbia Judge James Emmanuel Boasberg. Over the weekend, he blocked the Trump administration from deporting certain migrants under the Alien Enemy Act of 1798.
The American Civil Liberties Union alleges that the Trump administration violated a judge’s order by not taking home flights travelling to Honduras and El Salvador on Saturday.
