Jessica Tarloff, a Democratic strategist who is also one of the co-hosts of “Five,” was steamed on the show Thursday after trying to debate how many manufacturing jobs have returned under the leadership of former President Joe Biden.
President Donald Trump’s debate over the economic direction spiked after the April 2 announcement placed mutual tariffs on the list of countries, plunging stock markets into a frenzy. While most Republicans support Trump’s decision after imposing a 90-day suspension on tariffs, particularly except China, Tarloff said the Republican hosts are discussing the issue from a “very privileged seat.”
“You guys are talking about this from a very privileged seat,” Tarloff said.
Co-host Judge Janine Piro opposed Tarloff, saying “It’s not a privilege to bring work to Central America.”
“Okay, but that’s what it’s doing. Microsoft is making an announcement that it has not opened a new data center in Ohio because of this,” Tarlov says.

“Walmart says, ‘We can’t make economic forecasts.’ “What do Democrats know about getting these jobs back?” Talk about chips and scientific methods,” Tarloff said. “Tell me how many manufacturing jobs have returned under Joe Biden.”
“Wait, wait, wait. Which chip factory was built under Joe Biden? Jessica, which chip factory?” asked Watters.

Biden has approved millions with public subsidies under the Infrastructure Investment and Employment Act of 2021, the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, and the Chip and Science Act. However, despite paying to boost employment, the number of manufacturing jobs did not skyrocket. By March 2024, there were total zero manufacturing jobs that month.
“I think it was an ice chip,” squealed Fox’s Greg Gutfeld.
“Joe Biden tripled Trump’s Chinese tariffs,” Tarloff said. “The Democrats can’t have something new. You have to be accurate about what you’re doing. This isn’t accurate at any level.”
Piro said before Tarloff jumped in, everyone could agree that “there are tariffs needed for China to cheat and that it would be necessary to steal.”
