Chamber of Commerce elects new officers and president

The Safford-Graham County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the election of new officers and president of the Chamber of Commerce Board.
The Graham County Chamber of Commerce held its annual board training and organizational meeting on Wednesday, January 18th. They elected the following officers: Torey Cranford, Treasurer, Small Business Development Center, Eastern Arizona University.
Pictured above, Chairman Nicholas Nordgrän-Tellez outlined priorities for this year, including refocusing the Chamber’s efforts on its membership program and recruiting new members, including minority-owned business owners. The Board discussed how to better communicate the benefits of being a member of the Chamber of Commerce and start hosting regular networking his events.
“I am honored to serve as Chairman of the Chamber this year. I look forward to meeting more business owners out in the community as we share the mission of the Chamber and our goals for the new year.” “We want minority-owned businesses to join our ranks and extend the services of the Chamber of Commerce to the business community.”
The nominating committee appointed Torey Cranford to a second term of three years.

Torey Cranford is the founder, owner and operator of Cakes by TLC, LLC. A local home base custom his bakery that has been part of the Gila Valley for the past 13 years. For the past three years, Torey has served as event chair on the Board of Directors of the Graham County Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of directors for Nathaniel’s Childhood Cancer Foundation. Torey is also very excited to announce her new position as Business Analyst for her Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College. She is very excited to help others dream of owning their own business.Torey has been with her best friend and biggest supporter Randy for her 23 years I am married. She has two children of her own. Her son Nick works for her III County Distribution, her daughter Emma Leah is married, recently graduated from EAC Cosmetology, and is expecting her first child in the spring with her husband Ethan. doing. Torey enjoys giving back to the community and being a part of what makes life in the Gila Valley so great.
In addition, the Nominating Committee appointed Mann Mortgage’s Isaac Morris to an initial three-year term.
Isaac was born and raised in Thatcher, and his family has deep roots in the Gila Valley. His grandfather HP Morris ran a Volkswagen dealership in Safford in the 1960s, and his parents, his Hyrum and Julie Morris, both grew up in Gila Valley and graduated from Thatcher High School.
After graduating from Thatcher High School in 2009, he briefly left Gila Valley to pursue a bachelor’s degree at ASU. After graduating from ASU, he met his wife his Shaley and married in 2015. They plan to build their first home in Gila Valley and raise their family in this amazing community. His family consists of Kyson (9 years old), Emery (6 years old), Avery (4 years old), and Myles (2 months old).
Isaac began his professional career at Mann Mortgage in 2017 as a mortgage originator. He was recently promoted to management and one of his main goals for the Safford branch is to be more involved with the community. Isaac is very excited to serve on his Graham County Chamber Board.
