Fox News’ Laura Ingraham clashed with Arizona Democrat Rep. Yassamin Ansari on Tuesday evening.
After Abrego Garcia was deported to El Salvador by the Trump administration in March, Democrats gathered to bring him back to the United States. While appearing in “Ingraham’s Angle” to discuss her visit, Ingraham pushes Ansari on the trip and eventually asks her about the issue “happy and feeling better.”
“Rep., were you worried? I know this is a progressive way of dealing with just an interview – you know – I’m not trying to talk about you, I’m actually trying to answer a question. I’ve asked you a simple question,” Ingraham said.
“Does America believe Abrego Garcia believe he has not received or can receive if it is a Democrat’s priority? Does this deny him? I’ll bring him back here, Ingraham asked.
Ansari told the Fox host that the Supreme Court was “clear” in the administration’s ruling to revive Abrego Garcia, and insisted that Ingraham “is not stuck to the facts of the case.” (Related: “Funny You Are You Now, You Are You Now You Are Infatuated”: Jesse Watters evokes DEM Strategist hypocrisy over suspicion of MS-13 gang member)

“I was very clear about the facts,” Ingraham said. “Well, Congressman, if you want to come to the show, we want you back.”
The two then began to discuss with each other, and Ingraham asked Ansari to “wait” and “breath.”
“If he comes back, let’s say he’s not interpreted. Democrats are happy about that,” Ingraham said. “If he is interpreted, he will be deported from the United States. Will it make you miserable and be right? It will cause a whole new fire.
“This is a union member and a wife of a US citizen. This is the person the Supreme Court said they need to return to the US,” Ansari said. “That’s true.”
After Abrego Garcia’s deportation, the Obama-appointed judge ordered the Trump administration to return illegal immigrants, which sparked the administration and brought the case to the Supreme Court. In its original court filing, the Trump administration admitted that Abrego Garcia was deported due to administrative errors, but argued that illegal immigrants should be kept in El Salvador due to alleged connections with MS-13.
The Supreme Court ruled on April 10 that the administration would “promote” the administration’s “release of El Salvador from custody” and “confirm that his case will be handled.”
“We got it. You never support this individual’s deportation. That’s the truth. Lawmakers, we appreciate it,” Ingraham said.
