2 found dead at home in Yavapai County, Arizona

Sheriff’s deputies were sent to report a 72-year-old man allegedly shot his wife on Monday.

Yavapai County, Ariz. — Sheriff’s deputies found a man and a woman dead after answering a call Monday afternoon at their Yavapai County home.

Deputies were responded to the Cornville home for the report of a 72-year-old man who had apparently shot his 83-year-old wife and planned to cause harm to himself, according to the Yabapai County Sheriff’s Office.

When the deputy tried to contact the man, the SWAT team was called to assist. When the SWAT team entered the residence, they discovered that a man and a woman had died. YCSO said the initial information suggests that the man wants to hurt his wife and himself for his own health.

The pair’s identity has not been disclosed.
