Crimson Tide Prepares for New Season
The Alabama Crimson Tide is gearing up for its second season under the Calendar Boer era.
A key player in this transition is senior wide receiver Germie Bernard, who made significant contributions to the offense last year, showcasing impressive performances in several games.
Having transferred from Washington to Alabama, Bernard had nearly 800 receiving yards last season, including a standout 50-yard catch. He aims to build on that success in his senior year.
For Bernard, faith is an essential part of his life, both in sports and personally. He recently discussed the profound influence faith has on him and shared how he chooses biblical verses each week for inspiration.
“I want people to know that God is a faithful God. If you follow His words and path, you’ll be blessed,” Bernard stated in an interview.
In his words, “Now I’m in Matthew’s book. I pray to God every week. Whatever comes to you, the goal is to show others and lead them to Him. I believe He guides me often, and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.”
He continued, “I want people to know that being obedient to His words leads to blessings. I have faith that I can pray weekly and be given the right words to share with someone else.”
As Bernard stands on the brink of what could be his best season yet, his faith remains at the core of everything he does.
