Alabama Oil and Convenience Marketers Endorse Tuberville for Governor

The Petroleum and Convenience Marketers of Alabama, representing over 200 oil marketers and convenience store operators statewide, has become the first significant industry group to back U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville in his campaign for Governor of Alabama, announced on Wednesday.

Following the launch of Tuberville’s nationally recognized campaign from Auburn, the P&CMA expressed strong support for his gubernatorial goals.

“Tommy Tuberville is aware of the hurdles facing Alabama’s energy and retail sectors, and he is dedicated to advancing policies that boost economic growth, support small businesses, and guarantee a steady fuel supply throughout the state,” the chairman of the P&CMA board stated.

“Senator Tuberville is poised to be a robust advocate for our members in Montgomery. He truly grasps the essentials for fostering economic growth and creating opportunities for local families and businesses,” the chairman added.

The P&CMA highlights its members’ contributions, having owned and operated over 3,250 convenience stores across Alabama, providing jobs for nearly 60,000 people, and significantly supporting both the state’s energy infrastructure and small business community.

The endorsement followed a vote from the association’s board of directors. They emphasize their role as key players in the oil marketing and convenience store sectors.

The Alabama Republican primary election is set for May 19, 2026, and so far, Tuberville hasn’t faced any challengers in the primaries.
