Senator Kennedy Criticizes Brennan and Comey
On Thursday, Louisiana Republican Senator John Kennedy expressed strong criticism of former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey during an appearance on Fox News with Harris Faulkner. He described both men as “not ethical people.”
CIA Director John Ratcliffe has reportedly initiated a criminal investigation regarding claims of false statements made by Brennan and Comey to Congress. Kennedy remarked on “Faulkner Focus” that these two had a particularly negative impact on the nation’s already fraught political landscape.
“Politics has become quite intense in America,” Kennedy noted. “It seems like if you oppose someone, it’s not just a difference of opinion; you’re considered a bad person. We all lament the current atmosphere, but I believe those who’ve exacerbated it include Comey and Brennan.”
Brennan, speaking on MSNBC’s “Deadline: White House” earlier this week, denied any wrongdoing when questioned by host Nicole Wallace regarding election interference in 2016.
Reflecting further, Kennedy shared his views on both former directors. “In my opinion, I wouldn’t trust them to follow even six of the ten commandments. They really lack integrity and aren’t good people. I’ve talked to people who worked closely with them.”
“The alarming thing is that they seem to think they know what they’re doing,” he added. “I’d rather hire someone who works at McDonald’s than either of them. They act as if their intelligence and capability set them apart, yet it feels rooted in their political perspectives.”
Brennan was among a group of former intelligence personnel who signed an October 2020 letter that referenced Russian disinformation tactics related to a New York Post report about emails allegedly linked to Hunter Biden.
The credibility of some contents from Hunter Biden’s laptop was confirmed by the Daily Caller News Foundation in October 2020, with further validation from the Washington Post and the New York Times in a March 2022 article related to the Department of Justice’s investigation.
As of now, Comey has not responded to inquiries from the Daily Caller News Foundation regarding these statements.
