Kirk Discusses Trump’s Window to Address the Deep State
Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, joined Tucker Carlson on Monday and expressed his belief that President Donald Trump has a timeframe of “6-12 months” to tackle what he describes as the administrative and deep state.
On Friday, former National Intelligence director Tulsi Gabbard released a declassified document suggesting “overwhelming evidence” that former President Barack Obama and his administration manipulated and politicized intelligence regarding the 2016 Russian collusion allegations. During the interview with Carlson, Kirk commended Gabbard for shedding light on the issue.
“I think all these matters will circle back to intelligence agencies,” Kirk said. “This revelation about Russiagate is massive. Absolutely massive. The President has invested so much of his life defending against these things—it’s not from foreign adversaries but from our own government.” His concern was palpable as he noted, “This is particularly nefarious; our government actively went against an elected president.”
Kirk pointed out that although the accusations against Trump’s campaign went public in 2016, the investigatory efforts ultimately found no solid evidence of collusion. The situation raises uncertainties about the motivations and consequences of those behind the claims.
Gabbard’s note also indicated that before the 2016 election, press releases about the investigations came from officials in Obama’s administration. The document added that post-election, certain intelligence agencies began leaking false information to major news outlets.
“I understand what the grassroots want—what President Trump desires. We need accountability and, frankly, we’re not going to get there unless we confront this deep state in the near future,” Kirk emphasized. He further stated that the issues are spiraling out of control and necessitated urgent attention.
According to Kirk, there’s a palpable fear within the establishment regarding this movement, as they’re aware that people are recognizing patterns and holding these intelligence operations accountable for their actions. “Russiagate is significant for revealing how dark and honestly demonic their activities have become,” he remarked, expressing a strong belief in the need for overdue changes.
Prior to Gabbard’s release of the document, both former FBI director James Comey and former CIA director John Brennan were reportedly under criminal investigation for potential misconduct concerning the Steele documents. While it’s uncertain how far this investigation might extend, sources indicate that the FBI is exploring the scenario as a “conspiracy.”
